Fun stuff to do in Molalla:
-
The
Molalla
Buckeroo is Molalla's premier venue; both for the July 4th
celebration and year-round.
-
The
Molalla Area Chamber of
Commerce has some good stuff
-
We're just a mile from the
Molalla River.
Swim, play volleyball, picnic, etc. at
Feyrer
Park
-
Why not try some
Geocacheing? Bring your
GPS (or borrow Alan's) and find a cache within walking distance of the
farm.
-
Like to fly? Check out the
RC Airplane Airfield!
-
Perhaps you prefer jumping out of
airplanes? You're gonna love
Skydive Oregon!
-
So, you're a little more "grounded"
huh? Maybe you like riding trains? You're in luck! We
are just down the road from the
Molalla
Train Park.
-
Do you need to feel the wind in
your face, the sun on your back, the sound of loud pipes in your ears
and the feel of an iron horse between your legs? Then you need to
talk to Pete or Janet Kosky over at
Oregon
Motorcycle Rentals. They rent Harley-Davidson, Triumph,
Yamaha, Honda, and Ducati motorcycles. My dad rented the V-Star
and took a nice tour of Highway 101!
-
Looking for a fun place to camp?
Check out Camp
Dakota, in nearby Scotts Mills. RV hook-ups and loads of fun
things to do! For an extra special stay, why not rent a
tee pee and
really go native! (you'll have to supply your own breech-cloth and
chanting :)
-
Maybe you'd like to do some
gardening? Just across the road from us is the
Out in the Garden Nursery, featuring hundreds of varieties of shade
lovin' plants.
Some great places to eat in Molalla:
Other stuff that really interests us:
-
Yes, we still
like to hunt elk. :) Our favorite place to go is Starkey
Unit. If you're in the La Grande area, stop by
Starkey Station
for some great coffee, good food, and good company.
